Fiscal responsibility - Jonathan believes it is important for our government to be responsible in how they use and spend the tax payer’s money.

Transparency - Jonathan wants to see our local government be more transparent through regular communication with residents concerning town decisions and initiatives.

Smart Development - Jonathan wants to see Matthews flourish and grow but continue to keep the small town feel that has drawn many of our residents to the area. Through careful, thoughtful planning and less high-density development, he believes we can build Matthews right!

Public Safety and First Responders - After speaking with First Responders in Matthews to hear their concerns, Jonathan hopes to ensure that first responders (police, fire, EMS) are adequately funded, compensated and equipped to keep our community safe.

Infrastructure Improvement and Development - With our town constantly in motion and to continue to encourage and promote growth, it’s important to maintain and upgrade our town’s infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and utilities. Jonathan wants to see projects that enhance transportation options and reduce traffic congestion prioritized.
